Ruilin Li is a London-based photographer and artist, born in Guangdong, China. She is currently pursuing an MA in Contemporary Photography: Practices and Philosophies at Central Saint Martins.

Her practice begins with experimental photography in the darkroom, exploring indexicality, material traces, and the perception of space and time, from which a diverse range of artistic forms emerge. Through a media-ontological approach, she translates material interactions into metaphorical forms, engaging with perception and philosophical reflection. Her recent work extends into sculpture and installation, expanding photography into spatial and material practices.

Alongside her artistic work, she engages in a range of photographic practices, including landscape, fashion, and exhibition and event documentation, navigating between applied and conceptual contexts.
