Mirror, plates, wood, residue

A pristine plate as an undefined object, one that has not yet been assigned a function; yet the moment it serves as a vessel for food, it becomes a “plate.” Each of the twelve white plates preserves traces of different stages: from initial purity, to the gradual accumulation of material residues, and finally, through use and the experiences of daily life, returning to an open state akin to dust—inscribed with the trajectories of the body and of lived existence. This transformation reflects the cyclical nature of my life: in the flow and counterflow of memory and experience, there is a persistent pursuit of purity and order, yet the process inevitably leads to dissolution, through which the most radical freedom is attained. The mirrors positioned at both ends of the sequence extend the finite row of plates into an infinite visual chain, evoking the endless recurrence of life’s experiences
